Faith Leader Resources Welcome to the Resource pages for Faith Leaders. The Campaign Against Child Poverty Inter-Faith Committee recently mailed out letters to faith leaders and social justice advocates across the country, encouraging reflection on the moral issue of poverty. Our country is rich in many ways. Faith congregations, we believe, should become actively engaged in dialogue among themselves and with decision-makers at all levels of government, to understand our shared responsibility for helping families hard-pressed for basic needs, even in the midst of our general well-being. The month between Mother's Day, May 13, and
Father's Day on June 17 provides a specific period in the calendar when
children and parents spend important time together. If every
faith community in Canada gave thoughtful consideration, prayer, and
action to aid their members most in need, what a powerful message that
would be!
